Marketing and Partnership Manager Location: US-SC-Greenville Email this job to a friend

Bon Secours Wellness Arena is seeking a strategic, passionate, and detail-oriented marketing and partnerships manager with a genuine love for people, entertainment, and culture. In this exciting role, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective campaigns and promotions for facilities managed by the Greenville Arena District (GAD).
ResponsibilitiesShow Marketing (45%) - Provide marketing support for concerts, family shows, sporting events, tenants, and other miscellaneous events; Assist in meeting department and venue marketing goals and objectives to drive tickets sales
- Continuously build promoter relationships and effective working relationships with media partners
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure; Collaborate in the development of creative messaging to drive ticket sales, brand and/or event awareness
- Negotiate, close, schedule, and evaluate media buys, promotions, and sponsorship deals for events. Work closely with other departments such as ticketing and fan experiences to accomplish marketing goals.
- Responsible for coordination, development, and delegation of collateral materials such as promotional pieces, media releases, schedules, calendars, monthly newsletter, etc. Implement and manage outbound email marketing campaigns, manage external vendors to produce marketing materials as well as internal team project management systems
- Work with promoters and media to facilitate implementation of event marketing activities prior to and during events in addition to cross-functional internal events team
- Manage and monitor paid digital marketing efforts. Assist in maintaining the venue's website, social media platforms, and other various interactive marketing outlets for the venue.
- Coordinate the collection and organization of financial settlement recaps, including print, TV, radio, and digital media advertising for select events in addition to marketing summaries for all events
Sponsorship/Partnership (45%) - Serve as primary account manager to assigned partners, executing all contractual elements. Ensure timely delivery of all partnership assets, including signage, promotions, and activation elements
- Co-develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive corporate partnership program, including identifying prospects, presenting proposals, and closing deals. Establish guidelines to increase partnership recruitment, satisfaction, and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, and gain an understanding of partner goals and objectives. Work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to ensure a seamless and all-in approach to deliver value and impact to our partners.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of partnership documentation and reporting, including inventory/asset management and allocations, revenue allocations, audits, financials, and proof of performance.
- Assist with renewal and upsell strategies that deliver brand and business objectives that grow existing partnerships and revenue.
- Further a culture of best-in-class customer service and relationship building through regular interactions and strategic touch points such as event day visits, special events, gifting, etc.
- Research best practices and trends within the industry with a focus on retention and growth of current corporate partners, open business categories, new go-to-market strategies, and new inventory development.
Public Relations (10%) - Coordinates public relations efforts such as media releases, story pitches, and interviews alongside external public relations agency
- Responsible for scheduling interviews and fielding media requests alongside PR agency in a timely manner
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, and key stakeholders to secure media placements and coverage
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, or other related field
- Three (3) years of industry (live sports and entertainment) experience
- Five (5) years of demonstrated success with sponsorship and corporate partnerships
- Exceptional communication skills. Strong teamwork and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively with all personalities to support a strong, unified culture.
- High level of personal initiative, drive, and accountability. Good decision-making skills, solid judgment, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedule.
