Role: Markit EDM Support Engineer

Location: New York, NY (Client expecting the resource to come to office all days onsite mandatory)

Mode:- Full-time & Remote

Role Start date Immediate.

Note:-

We are primarily looking for person having minimum 3 years of hands of experience on Markit EDM tool and good SQL knowledge.

This person will also be leading a small offshore team so his communication should be very crisp.

What is the Investment Risk Services Team responsible for?

• The team supports Investment Risk Management team by designing and implementing technology solutions delivering of relevant data and analytics to enable the risk insights.
• Develop and support ingestion pipelines to consume data from various sources Structured and unstructured.
• Provide on-going support of data services and reusable frameworks, for the data for investment risk, data analysts and other investment professionals to easily access data.
• Ensure risk statistic and analytical data is available for reporting and compliance in timely manner.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Software Engineer?

• Develop new code and configuration for complete features.
• Provides proficiency in application development and production support activities to support business needs.
• Monitor daily data processing and ensure all analytical data is available on time.
• Leverages experience and business domain knowledge to triage production support issues.
• Utilizes technology tools to enhance data analysis and data presentation skills to identify issues or gaps.
• Document production support issue resolutions, Disaster Recovery steps, and maintain KPI.
• Handle general system maintenance and upgrades (server refresh, database upgrades, etc.). Liaises with other internal IT teams to release code changes and as needed to resolve system / technical issues for the team.
• Testing at different stages of development
• Understanding of Packaging and Release management of code (version Control)
• Troubleshooting performance related issues, SQL query optimization

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

• A minimum of 3 years of Markit EDM experience is required.
• Working experience with the following technologies & platform
  • Control-M
  • Alteryx
  • SQL
  • Windows/Azure/Linux
  • Version Control (SVN, Bitbucket, Jenkins etc.)
  • JIRA, Bamboo (Atlassian Tools)
  • Python (nice to have)
  • Testing tool's
  • Power BI (Nice to have)
  • Tableau (Nice to have)
  • Snowflake (Nice to have)
  • DBT (Nice to have)
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant industry experience (active or passive investment management, especially with Investment Performance and Risk domain)
• Exposure to market data providers and analytical solutions like Bloomberg, Factset, POINT etc.
• Ability to understand complex interrelated systems and processing.
