Job Title: Material Control Supervisor (Logistics/Warehouse) Location: Dearborn MI 48126 -
Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the full process of plant inbound & outbound logistics activities from planning to execution. -
Phases of this process include material receiving and storage, warehouse management and inventory control, material picking and line feeding, internal material handling, material packaging, shipping plan preparation and control, load, transportation organization, custom clearance, records keeping. Duties and Responsibilities : -
Coaches, Trains, and Mentors inbound and outbound logistics personnel -
Maintains and adjusts department headcount based on budget and workload -
Ensures that all daily activities are being performed timely and accurately as required. -
Monitor the execution of Inventory count based on agreed plan; analyze discrepancies, root causes and plan corrective actions -
Drives to meet KPI target -
Insures necessary material transfers on a daily basis. Including Storage, Project to Project, General to Project. -
Ensures Shipping Specialists and Transport & I/E Specialists daily activities are being performed timely and accurately as required -
Manages excess material disposition process -
Continuously coordinates with Project Teams, After Sales and all other functions requiring shipments in order to maximize Team performance and Customer satisfaction -
Collaborate with Plant Manufacturing and Planning Team in order to increase overall Plant operations effectiveness and efficiency -
Assure that all shipping and transportation activities are executed on time based on agreed project and customer shipping plans -
