Material Coordinator

Mix of 1st/2nd shift, but 2nd preferred

Our client is the recognized leader in high quality component and systems manufacturing. We are a global company that designs and manufactures solutions for electronic packaging. We have an excellent opportunity for a Material Coordinator to join our team of professionals in our Fremont, CA location.



Some of the duties for this position include:




  • Maintain order and organization of the work area including compacting boxes

  • Takes ownership of assigned area

  • Proficient in several warehouse areas/functions: shipping systems, shipping components, kitting, shortages, receiving, pulling sales orders, WIP receipts, locating stock and production support

  • Process the data entry duties either on the ERP system or handheld bar code device

  • Perform daily cycle counts as needed

  • Create repair work order for non-conforming material from production and update work orders notes with parts being replaced

  • Process material transfer orders (MTO) for both the Fremont and the Lathrop facilities

  • Verify all work to eliminate errors

  • Request help when needed

  • Interface with internal and external customers

  • Maintain warehouse equipment including but not limited to printers, tape dispensers, fork-lift, insta-pak machines and compactor (removing bales)

  • Maintain necessary files and documentation

  • Follow procedures as established in our quality manual

  • All other duties as assigned



Job Requirements:




  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • 3-5 years related warehouse experience in a production environment

  • Reading, writing and basic math skills

  • PC literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and database programs

  • Forklift certification preferred (may be trained on site)

  • Good oral and written communication skills required

  • Solid computer skills

  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, and organized
