Reimagine Whats Possible



The Jazan Integrated Gasification & Power Company (JV) is a 3 partner, $12bn JV that is closely integrated with a 400 000 barrel per day crude refinery. The refinery will supply up to 100000 barrels per day vacuum bottoms from its crude distillation unit to 15 Shell Gasifiers in the JV. The gasifiers will feed 4 Acid gas removal (AGR) trains where after the gas will split to feed 2 Hydrogen Recovery Units that will produce hydrogen for the refinery while the rest of the syngas will go to 10 gas turbines that together with 5 heat recovery steam generator and 5 stream turbines will produce 33000 ton of steam and 4000MW of power daily. Oxygen (22000 ton per day) and nitrogen (60000 ton per day) will be manufactured in 6 ASUs. The JV will also have the associated utilities, inclusive of desalination, water treatment, wastewater treatment, fuel gas, plant and instrument air and the main electrical substation.



Nature and Scope


The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer will be initially responsible for performing mechanical commissioning activities on all power block equipment in highest safe manners utilizing all available facilities to perform and complete all required planned tasks as per commissioning procedures and as per project timeline plans.

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for ensuring mechanical completion of systems like flushing, pressure tests, cleaning and getting the systems ready for start-up and commissioning of Combined cycle Power Plant specifically in GT/HRSG/WSC/BOP systems. He shall be responsible for start-up and Commissioning together with Controls Commissioning team.


Principal Accountabilities (Operations)
Supervise and approve commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines. Review designs and supervise onsite commissioning activities. Interact with contractors Manage smooth commissioning of the project by Coordinating between the company and the Contractor. Prepare and maintain commission records of site observations, testing processes and checklists Task team and hold action oversight. Investigates and resolves engineering and technical related problems. Plant Startup & Tuning, Red markup to site specific drawings & provide weekly site progress reports. Review vendor drawings, calculations, startup Procedures and other vendor documentations. Participates in regularly scheduled construction & Commissioning progress meetings. Ability to solve problems and drive for safe & reliable plant startup / commissioning. Functional checks & ensuring the proper functioning of all mechanical systems in GT/HRSG/WSC/BOP area.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree of Mechanical Engineering. Min 12 12 years of experience in Power plants, preferably Siemens combined cycle plants. HV. MV , LV system experience Previous experience in co-generation plants is preferable. Fluent command of the English language in writing and speaking Well knowledge of all HSE procedure in power plants Well knowledge of all LOTO procedures in power plants Fluent in English (oral, understanding and written). A second language such as Arabic would be helpful. Working experience in the GCC countries will be a benefit. Excellent technical and operational skills in Gas Production Operations. Excellent leadership and interpersonal management skills. Excellent Presentation Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to support and mentor senior/junior staff.
