Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - All Levels (Aerospace Experience Required)

Locations: Bothell WA; Denton TX

Details:

• Aerospace experience is required: 5+ years/(Sr Level: 8+ years)

Job Description:

• Create basic designs of aircraft interiors

• Structures and mechanical systems for Fit

• Form and Function to meet customer criteria, quality standards, FAA requirements, and budget and project schedules

• Design and check mechanical aircraft interior furnishings, structures and/or systems

• Make sure designs meet customer criteria, quality standards and FAA requirements

• Adhere to budget and project schedules

• Provide design guidance and feedback to other engineers

• Provide liaison engineering support

• Make sure we are applying best practices and identifying the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools

• Develop solutions to complex problems, which require ingenuity and innovation

• Identify and communicate the need for enhanced processes, methods, and tools or new or enhanced design requirements, and provide solutions

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or equivalent

• 5+ years in a similar role OR equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to check engineering drawings for Fit, Form and Function

• Strong Computer Aided Drafting/Design skills using AutoCAD and/or Inventor

• Three-dimensional (3D) design/drafting skills are preferred

• Knowledge of industry design and documentation standards

• Experience with mechanical assemblies and manufacturing technique design

• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established team

• Strong time-management and organizational
