Responsibilities:
-Transformer Design: Develop detailed mechanical designs for power transformers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
-Material Selection: Conduct thorough material analysis and selection to optimize transformer performance, efficiency, and durability.
-CAD Modeling: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate and comprehensive 3D models of transformer components.
-Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee the prototyping process and conduct mechanical testing to validate design integrity and performance.
-Cost Analysis: Assess cost implications of design choices and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
-Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring designs adhere to safety, environmental, and compliance requirements for the US market.
-Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with overall transformer functionality.
-Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency enhancement in transformer design processes, incorporating feedback from previous projects.
-Documentation: Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to facilitate communication and future reference.

Qualification:
-Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in mechanical design of power transformers, with a focus on the US market.
-Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of materials science, thermal analysis, and structural mechanics.
-Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, ANSI).
-Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
-Familiarity with prototyping and testing procedures.
-Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality, reliable designs.
