Mechanical Design Liaison Engineer
Location: Bedford, MA (US)
Job Functions
This position's essential function is to work within a cross-functional and geographically diverse team to coordinate mechanical engineering tasks that will quickly support resolution to field issues.
Coordinate mechanical technical subjects between Offshore Engineering Organization, Supply Chain & T&I activities in logistics hub and offshore site.
Technical experience in wind turbine technology and auxiliary system
Be the point of contact of Engineering for Non-Quality management (NC /Punchlist)
Help the NCR and Engineering Change processes to work properly (NC rework & ECO retrofit)
Resolve part of the Non-Conformities detected in the Hub & Offshore
Propose Engineering Changes based on experience from the Hub & Offshore activity
Mechanical Technical field advisory & ramp up support.
Disposition of non-conformances in the NC system
Engineering change proposal (ECP) & ECO implementation
Punchlist & Customer question review and support
Work instructions / Drawings with support of CAD engineer
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline; MS preferred.
Minimum 5 years of related work experience within a mechanical engineering related field.
Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities
Sound computer skills. Proficiency in MS Office required
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
