Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer in Niskayuna, NY.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet.
Develop & define project scope with sponsors
Work with project team to develop Performance Specifications & cost estimates & provide construction phase support for building renovation projects.
Oversee architectural-engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, cost estimates, & characterization for infrastructure projects
Coordinate & interact with facility staff & contractors.
Requirements
- Engineering Experience performing mechanical engineering tasks (HVAC, plumbing) including the development of contract documents, calculations, & cost estimates.
- Working knowledge of building codes, energy codes, & standards
- Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFIs, construction site observations, & documentation).
Desired Knowledge and Skills
- EIT certificate and or PE license
- Engineering consulting experience
Highly Preferred
