Luxium Solutions LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Process Engineer in Manufacturing Operations. These highly technical operations are responsible for making world class inorganic scintillation detectors with high quality standards, outstanding operating efficiency, and performance.

The Mechanical Process Engineer is customer driven and aligned with the Design, Quality and Operations teams of the facility to deliver above expectations. They are fully engaged in the continuous improvement of the inorganic detector manufacturing processes, acting as the process and problem-solving leader while driving innovation within the team through lean methodology, and capital expenditure projects.

Essential Functions include:

• Process expert of the manufacturing and assembly processes of sodium iodide and other inorganics scintillators
• Provides innovative ideas to positively impact key performance indicators (safety, quality, delivery, cost) for the operation.
• Manage complex projects both as the leader and as a contributing team member of other team members projects. Projects may be related to new product introduction, digital integration, cost savings/avoidance, process improvement, etc.

Requirements

The Mechanical Process Engineer must have a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 3 years experience in a labor intense manufacturing environment. Experience with Minitab, CAD, CREO, and AutoCAD is preferred. The ideal candidate maintains effectiveness in a variety of environments and is productive when demands pull in many directions. The ability to lead and perform FMEAs on costly report product defects is required. A Green Belt in Lean Manufacturing Methodology is preferred.
