We are seeking an experienced Billing Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in our billing operations. Responsibilties:

• Identify and record correct codes for office visits and medical procedures indicated on doctors notes
• Maintain proper billing procedures throughout the billing cycle, including follow up when necessary
• Provide support and explanation regarding items that appear on claims if needed
• Discover and correct any errors and maintain due diligence in preventing such errors from occurring
• Effectively communicate with insurance companies, legal advocates and patients
• Obtain missing documention preventing company from billing out claims
• Accurately code multiple pain procedures as well as orthopedic and spine surgeries
• Meet set KPIs as directed by supervisor
• Identify and resolve billing disputes
• Prepare, review, and send patient claims

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of all related systems including EMA ModMed & eClinicalWorks preferred
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines

Experience:

• Medical billing: 1 year (Required)
• Medical Coding and Billing Certificate (preferred)
• 1-3 Years of Orthopedic or Spine Experience (preferred)
