CDR Financial Services seeking for individual that will perform as a practice expert on all issues relating to lab coding and billing.

• Provide data entry support to the CDR Financial Services Department.

• Extracting relevant information from patient records.
• Act as liaison with physicians and other parties to clarify information.
• Examining documents for missing information.
• Assigning CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM Assigning APC and DRG codes.
• Ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors.

• Perform chart audits.
• Advising and training physicians and staff on medical coding.
• Informing supervisor of issues with equipment and computer program.
• Ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines
• LAB BILLING PREFERRED IS A PLUS

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical office setting with medical coding experience.
• American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) certification strongly preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
