ReadiForce Government Solutions, LLC  is currently looking for Medical Lab Technicians for potential opportunities to provide services at the Madigan Army Medical Center in JB Lewis-McChord, WA. These are full-time positions, 8 or 12 hours a day. Monday – Sunday between the hours of 6:00 am – 6:00 pm. The Medical Lab Technicians will support the Armed Services Blood Program and the Army Blood Program mission to collect, process, test and provide quality blood products from volunteer donors and to coordinate the distribution of blood products to military treatment facilities worldwide in order to provide life-saving blood products to injured service members, veterans and their family members.





Minimum Qualifications:




  • Degree: Certificate.

  • Education: Graduate from a medical laboratory technician training program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or educational program acceptable to the American Medical Technologist (AMT),

  • Certification: Certification/registration as Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Medical Technologists or other agency approved by the Assistant Secretary Defense (Health Affairs), ASD(HA), and a current BLS from the American Heart Association

  • Experience: One year of experience in a clinical laboratory in any one or a combination of the following sections: hematology, chemistry, cytology, histology, urinalysis, serology, microbiology and blood bank.



Core Duties




  • Perform a full range of clinical laboratory tests in any one or a combination of the following sections of the laboratory: hematology and blood bank.

  • Rotates through various sections of the Blood Donor Center and on blood drives in remote locations. Independently performs standardized clinical laboratory tests and procedures appropriate to blood banking. 

  • Performs personal interviews to obtain medical histories and visual inspections of blood donors, ensuring donors meet all Food and Drug Administration (FDA) criteria and current manufacturing practices

  • Determines eligibility of potential donors based on judgment and in accordance with SOP and regulatory guidelines.

  • Strips, segments, weighs, and stores whole blood units. Records information, such as time of started and stopped drawing blood.

  • Performs quality control tests for red blood cells, platelets, and instrumentation in accordance with operating procedures.

  • Stocks blood donor, blood processing, and blood product manufacturing supplies and mobile equipment.

  • Performs Apheresis procedures and Phlebotomy duties.
