APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring a Medical Physicist for our client in South Atlanta, GA Position starts on a 12 week contract with a high possibility of extension. Job Title: Medical Physicist Location: South Atlanta, GA Job Type: Full-Time, 13-Week Contract Salary: $120 per hour / $4800 weekly Schedule: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Are you a skilled and dedicated Medical Physicist with a passion for advancing patient care in Radiation Oncology? We are seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic team in South Atlanta, GA, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality cancer treatment services. As a Medical Physicist in our Radiation Oncology Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective application of radiation therapy for our patients. Responsibilities: Perform equipment monitoring for quality assurance/control to guarantee optimal functionality. Provide qualified radiological physics support, focusing on the clinical application of radiation oncology. Assist the Chief Medical Physicist in all brachytherapy services, including high dose rate and prostate seed implantation. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Physicist to ensure that all physics functions and operations meet state and regulatory standards. Maintain detailed documentation necessary for therapeutic applications, adhering to established protocols. Contribute to the development and implementation of radiation safety procedures. Requirements: Master's degree in medical physics or a related field. Board Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or eligibility for certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, including clinical application of medical physics, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, and Prostate Seed Implants. Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Additional Information: No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $120 per hour or $4800 weekly.
