Health Link East Bay has an IMMEDIATE job opening for a Home Health Medical Receptionist in our Walnut Creek, CA office(link removed) We are in search of a dynamic individual to join our family as a Home Health Medical Receptionist. This role is a vital gateway to our patients' healthcare journey, ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and cared for from the very first interaction. This is a Full-Time, in-office position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary performance in their ability to prioritize, multitask, organize, and learn quickly.

As a medical receptionist, you will perform clerical activities that facilitate agency operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, answering queries, and guiding them through our services.
  • Schedule patient appointments, making sure to efficiently manage and coordinate with healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, updating patient files, and handling sensitive medical information with discretion.
  • Navigate patient concerns with empathy, understanding, and a keen knowledge of medical terminology and conditions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as managing phone lines, handling correspondence, and facilitating communication between patients and medical staff.
  • Foster a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring every patient feels valued and attended to.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with results in customer service industry- Detail oriented, organized, ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Efficient and accurate in a dynamic environment
  • Proper telephone etiquette
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Be compassionate and accommodating to patients, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Prior experience in a receptionist or front-office role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in tools and technology related to the position, including patient management software, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • A general understanding of healthcare operations and processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
