Mortgage Branch Operations Manager

M/I Homes, a top 15 national home builder, is looking for an Operations Manager for its builder financing subsidiary, M/I Financial, LLC located in Houston.

The successful candidate must:

• Have extensive experience in mortgage loan processing/underwriting.
• Possess hands-on knowledge of DU, LPA, agency, FHA, and VA guidelines.
• Experience with Texas Bond loan programs is preferred.

Job Summary:

Direct, coordinate, and supervise daily production of operations staff to ensure timely and accurate closings. Signs off on underwriting conditions to clear loans to close. Monitors reports daily to ensure loans are moving through the process in accordance with company expectations.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

• Persuasive attitude with outstanding leadership and organizational skills; detail-oriented aptitude.
• Ability to interpret, analyze and evaluate given information relative to lender requirements and underwriting guidelines; customer-service oriented with ability to handle difficult situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization.
• Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ability to coordinate several major activities simultaneously.
• Previous underwriting experience a plus.

Work Conditions:

• Some travel may be required.
