My client is a top medical-devices and diabetes company and they are looking to hire a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to work closely with Architecture, Product, and CloudOps to focus on streamlining existing processes to reduce time to deployment, increase visibility and auditability. The individual will need to be conversant in a variety of infrastructure technologies, including cloud management, IAM permissions, internal applications, automation tools, and source code management. They will be instrumental in developing the framework for process automation, environmental operations, and reporting.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Collaborates with product owners, R&D leads, vendors, and customers to ensure DevOps solutions address business and user needs.
• Collaborates with other departments to create secure, automatable, auditable processes for managing access and control of cloud environments.
• Drives the development and use of new and existing self-service tooling to support the operating model for public and private cloud.
• Uses configuration management, orchestration and management tooling to ensure cloud environments meet operational and security standards.
• Enables environment observability to promote increased change velocity, rapid incident response, and long-term capacity planning.
• Implements and supports technology stack for engineering teams to leverage continuous integration and delivery approach for product delivery.
• Acts as subject matter expert in Infrastructure as Code workflows, implementing policy as well as infrastructure through secure, controlled, release cycles.
• Automates and performs system and application related maintenance tasks.
• Creates and maintains accurate documentation of systems, solutions, guidelines, and processes.
• Operates as evangelist and mentor to less experienced partners, providing an open learning environment for cross-team knowledge sharing. Shares technical knowledge in both one-on-one and group settings.
• Troubleshoot and assist with deployment-related issues and incident redeployment-related items.
• Other responsibilities as required.
  

Required Qualifications

• Practical experience with modern scripting languages Python, Shell
• Strong foundation in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Experience with configuration and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet and Chef preferred
• Mastery of Source Code Management, including branching management and strategies, approval process, and deployment
• Strong knowledge and understanding virtualized environments
• Proficiency with GCP and Infrastructure as code (IaC) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Proficiency in Kubernetes
• Experience in Agile workflow including story management, ceremonies, and reporting (Atlassian toolset preferred)
• Some relational database administration and SQL knowledge
• Knowledge of software development tools, operating systems, virtual and physical infrastructure, network topologies, and security models
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of Information Technology operations, infrastructure, and application management processes
• Deep expertise in modern infrastructure hosting environments, with emphasis on GCP
• Possess a DevOps mindset when approaching tasks with automation, reliability, and repeatability in mind.

• Experience in GCP and AWS environment
• Functional experience in deploying Infrastructure as Code through Terraform
• SRE experience
• Experience with Terraform Cloud for Business
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Strong network skills from the physical to application layers
