The Role:

Moonbug is seeking a full-time Music Production Coordinator to support the Production team and liaise with the music distribution team. This role is based in our West Hollywood office in the heart of California. At Moonbug, you will be working with some of the biggest brands in family entertainment; one of the fastest-growing genres in music.

The successful candidate will have strong project management skills. You will need to be digitally confident, self-sufficient, organized, detail oriented and be ready to adapt to new challenges at a fast pace.

We would like to see someone who has been working in some sort of production capacity, however this role could also suit someone with great organizational and musical skills that wants to step into the production world.

Reporting to the Music Production Manager, you will be coordinating the music production for multiple childrens brands, and will be able to organize assets including audio stems, cue sheets, budgets, purchase orders, and contracts on time for delivery deadlines, as well as communicate with multiple talent and freelancers on a weekly basis.

This role reports ON-SITE at our West Hollywood office.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multiple areas of production simultaneously - sending assignments to our talent and freelancers, as well as delivering completed assets to the creative and production teams by their deadlines
  • Track production schedules for episode deliveries and album releases, and communicate changes to the creative and production teams
  • Ensure audio files and metadata are delivered across multiple platforms and teams by the delivery deadline, or deadline provided by the manager.
  • You must meet the deadlines provided by your manager. This includes completing all tasks, meeting goals, and coordinating projects.
  • Supporting music production staff with day to day tasks and issues in a timely manner
  • Organize and deliver previously released assets for cataloging and distribution.
  • Set up music production workflows for newly established streams
  • Identify issues or concerns if they occur, determine the cause of these issues and identify, prioritize, and select alternatives for a solution based on the workflows and resources provided by the department and company
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of music production processes.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects, softwares, and teams. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, and builds a daily routine of their responsibilities rather than waiting for them to be requested.
  • For instance, you pass information without reviewing it, you wait for your manager to provide you with the next steps, or specifically ask you to do something that should be already done as part of your daily routine. There is no initiative taken to improve processes and procedures that are included in your role. You expect your manager to provide you with tools such as templates so you could perform more efficiently.
  • Attention to detail is crucial. The candidate must be diligent and proactive about reviewing their work or any work that goes through their day to day responsibilities.
  • Self-starter and motivated to improve processes and workflow.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, in particular with external talent and representation.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and Google Workplace

Preferred Experience:

  • Flexible and highly motivated.
  • Approachable and optimistic.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about children's entertainment, media and music.
  • Any musical skill is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience with (link removed), FTrack, and/or digital audio workstations (Cubase, Logic, ProTools, etc.)

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Wellness Resources
  • Others
  • $24 Per Hour
