Hourly Rate: $48 W2; $55 CTC/1099

Job Description:

Responsible for MyAvatar maintenance

Responsible for keeping myAvatar and connected modules and applications current with updates and enhancements.

Coordinate testing and study the impact of these updates on myAvatar usage and workflow. Communicate the same to users and the EHR support team.

Attend and participate in user group meetings related to myAvatar and related products.

Act as second-level support and guide support team in resolving issues.

Act as primary contact with vendors for myAvatar and related applications. Create cases with Netsmart on issues with myAvatar and connected applications.

Act as a principal collaborator with third-party vendors, interface engineers.

2. Keep myAvatar aligned with clinical and business workflow

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the business rules and organizational workflows that exist within the administrative and clinical areas.

Maintain a thorough understanding of myAvatar applications used in departmental areas.

Responsible for scheduling standing meetings with departmental focus groups and clinical teams to discuss clinical initiatives, workflow changes, and process enhancements.

Be proactive in coming up with solutions, processes, and workflow enhancements using myAvatar and its capabilities.

Discuss and present new functionalities and enhancements of myAvatar to keep the users current.

Collect and evaluate new requests related to myAvatar.

Responsible for data integrity and policies related to changes and new enhancements introduced in the systems.

Develop implementation plans for introducing myAvatar enhancements and changes. Communicate with senior department management and staff on progress and barriers related to a successful implementation.

Communicate and keep IT leadership informed with process changes, workflow changes, development, and any major request. Coordinate schedule meetings with leadership to keep them informed of successful usage of myAvatar in the company.

3. Act as myAvatar technical and application lead

Maintain a thorough knowledge of system configurations related to practice management, billing, clinical functionalities, and interconnectivity between them.

Work as a liaison between the clinical and development team.

Should have a thorough understanding of developmental and reporting tools in myAvatar, including but not limited to Rad tool, Crystal Reports, and Scriptlink.

Analyze requests made in meetings and ticket systems. Gather and document specifications on these requests. Design and provide instructions to the programming team for development and testing. Schedule development and maintain priorities of these requests.

Do peer reviews on development and schedule push of these developments into production with accurate user notifications.

Keep the documentation current on development, process, and workflow changes.

Assist in creating monitoring tools to monitor functionalities and module usage in myAvatar. Use these tools to monitor system and communicate with senior departmental heads for the discrepancies and successful usage.

4. Coordinate EHR software training

Supervise the implementation of new EHR software and enhancements.

Provide constant training to support team on myAvatar functionalities and issue resolutions.

Assist in the creation of training tools.

Manage the effort for training end users on updates and enhancements.

Supervise ongoing EHR training to support core application functionality and approved workflows.

Establish schedules and designate facility areas for training to occur.

5. Project development

Develop the project scope.

Develop internal project benchmarks related to the development, testing, and training.

Manage the project schedule.

Assist in the analysis, development, and testing for the project applications

Document findings, results, and modification of project progress

6. Other IT duties as deemed necessary should include but not be limited to the following

Test and document compliance related to IT policy and procedure.

Assist in system(s) evaluations with other IT staff.

Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives.

Participate in the strategic planning process for IT.

Assist in providing training when deemed necessary.

Provide application training when deemed necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Ten years of working in IT field supporting customer with five (5) years' continuous and most recent experience directing the implementation and/or operation teams of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) or comparable Health Information Systems (HIS) with 3 years of MyAvatar experience. (5 years)
  • Bachelor's degree required. (Yes)
  • Experience in working with Service Management tools. (5 years)
  • Experience in dealing with vendors while supporting applications. (5 years)
