Short Description The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of Waste Management (DEP) is seeking a .NET Developer to utilize ASP.Net MVC, (link removed), and entity framework to develop and expand an existing e-permitting system. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of developing IT solutions, 3+ years of ASP.Net MVC, and 3+ years of C#.
* Note: This position is primarily Work from Home, but may require occasional on-site travel.
Required Skills/Years of Experience: - Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience developing IT Solutions
- 3+ years of experience with C#
- 3+ years of experience with ASP.Net MVC
- 3+ years of experience with UI Design (HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, Ajax, and JQuery)
- 2+ years of experience with Visual Studio 2017 or newer
- 2+ years of experience with TFS/VSTS or DevOps
Desired Skills/Years of Experience: - 3+ years of experience with Oracle Data Provider((link removed))
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL

The .NET Developer will be tasked to: - Demonstrate expertise in UI/UX design, including HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, and JQuery
- Test enhancement and development programs
- Demonstrate expertise utilizing Visual Studio 2019
- Manage work items and source code in VSTS/DevOps
- Demonstrate familiarity with Oracle Data Provider((link removed))
- Design and develop UI screens
- Demonstrate experience with agile/SCRUM development
- Create code enhancements, development programs, and required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standards
- Develop enhancements or features using C#, ASP.Net MVC, (link removed), AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, XML, CSS, and Visual Studio 2019
- Participate in structured code reviews and walkthroughs
- Execute all required process steps
- Create and provide content for operational documentation to technical writers
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work in an agile team environment
- Demonstrate understanding of the development of Information Technology solutions
- Utilize configuration management tools, design tools, and debugging tools to create, test, and implement an application
- Demonstrate expertise with Service Oriented Arch (SOA), Oracle PL/SQL, and development of services and APIs
- Manage and complete assigned tasks in Azure DevOps
- Demonstrate expertise with MS SQL Server 2008 or newer
