Idea Entity, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a passionate and collaborative .NET Developer who will assume a key role on our development team. The .NET Developer is crucial to team success and will build software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework, will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support. The ideal candidate should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects, be a team player and excellent communicator, with a passion for the .NET framework and software design/architecture.

This role is a full-time role, operating on a hybrid schedule out of our Herndon, VA office with two (2) telework days a week.

Your responsibilities:

• Utilize Microsoft's .NET infrastructure to create software solutions that meet clients' requirements.
• Testing your outputs to ensure that they are in excellent working order.
• Design and develop secure and scalable solutions, as well as deploying solutions and monitoring user adoption.
• Revise, update, refactor, and debug code.
• Configure and utilize static and dynamic code analyzers.
• Reformulating existing code to ensure adherence to stipulated guidelines.
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
• Maintain code integrity and follow disciplined software engineering methods.
• Remaining abreast of technological changes and trends that may impact your work.
• Collaborate with coworkers and create reusable design and development assets.
• Manage your project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Actively communicate with leadership and team.

Requirements

• At least five (5+) years of hands-on experience using .NET and .NET Core
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB), and design/architectural patterns (e.g., Model-View-Controller (MVC).
• Advanced proficiency in C# and automated testing.
• Prior hands-on experience with developing REST APIs.
• Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and object-oriented programming.
• Keen attention to detail with a knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
• Outstanding analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-driven, flexible, and innovative.
• Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.

Education:

• Bachelors in computer science or related engineering discipline.

Nice to have:

• HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• MCSD or MCPD certification will be highly advantageous.

The target pay range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000, based on experience.
