The Division of External Services (EX), Bureau of Waterways (WW) seeks to hire a .Net Web Developer III to design, develop, test and implement an API. This position will work closely with DNR IT and WW program staff. The WW project team is looking to streamline and consolidate existing public-facing survey through integration with this new API. This position will create new screens within the existing web application to assist with the processing of call/complaints. This project requires full-time (40hrs/week) work for a candidate with .Net developer skillsets and experience. The most qualified candidate will have: - Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net Framework.
- Experience applying Object Oriented Design.
- Coding experience in .Net MVC and/or .Net Core framework, including C#, VB.Net,Javascript and Bootstrap.
- Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications.
- Experience in SSRS for developing reports.
- Experience creating web APIs.
- Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL.
- Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated in addition to code management.
- Experience with coding standards and best practices.
- Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results.
- Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices
- Experience resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Experience following Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborates with others and is a team player to ensure project success.
Additional skill sets that will also be helpful: - Experience writing technical documentation.
- Experience with SharePoint.
- Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs.
