Foundations Worldwide, Inc is an Ohio-based, rapidly growing, childrens product company. A world-class leader in our space, Foundations has a 90% market share in the verticals we service. With the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the industry, the National Accounts Sales Manager will be managing one or more of our core channels of distribution while delivering top-line sales revenue and profitability for the company. In this role, you will be using your collaborative skills, creativity, and experience to work with our sales, marketing, product development and branding teams to help drive growth both within the channel and with our customers. Top notch organizational, communication and leadership skills are essential for this role. You will have the opportunity to further develop relationships with our largest customers while driving sales strategies to achieve personal and business goals.

Responsibilities

At Foundations, there is limitless opportunity and plenty of room to grow. The following describes some of the core activities you will perform:

  • Monitor the competitors brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct regular competitive audits. Communicate competitive and marketplace issues and opportunities to key individuals within the organization. Strategize and develop the appropriate competitive response.
  • Develops and shares new ideas based on sales trends and insights gleaned from time in the field and interaction with customers.
  • Applies understanding of product portfolio, brand positioning, brand vision & strategy to product sell-in and merchandising.
  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships with key decision-makers at all accounts. Manage the relationships with key influencers, understand the power structures, and hierarchy within each customer.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each accounts business along with their operational strategies, processes, and needs.
  • Collaboratively develop and execute specific plans to allow the attainment of assigned targets, goals, and objectives at both the account and channel level.
  • Serve as a significant contributor in the development and implementation of strategic customer and channel business plans, pricing, supporting strategies, and objectives.
  • Establish deep, effective, collaborative relationships with other departments (Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities with our customers and within the channel at large.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, or related field
  • Experience selling into distribution, as well as working with large direct accounts, is crucial.
  • Consumer goods sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.
  • High energy and the ability to handle day to day challenges and opportunities in stride while staying focused on the bigger picture.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to effectively persuade and influence others.
  • Strong sense of urgency, proactivity, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to professionally create, compose, and edit written materials as well as to deliver exceptional sales presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans, goals, and targets.
  • Proven business analytics capabilities along with the acumen to use sales and other data to help drive decision-making and development of sales strategy.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Professional attitude, presence, and expert-level communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint specifically.
  • Frequent travel to visit customers, attend tradeshows, etc
  • Work in office when not traveling.
