The National Key Accounts Manager is responsible for proactively seeking new business opportunities with a focus on establishing key relationships and expanding distribution in the Optical Frame Industry within the US. You will be the primary point of contact for all facets of the business with assigned accounts. In this role, you will develop long-term relationships and maximize sales opportunities by evaluating current business trends and presenting long term solutions. You will utilize our unique optical fashion brands to ensure continued growth of frame board space and revenue generation.


While there will be flexibility for some remote work, this leader will be expected to live in the Greater Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey area (where U.S. Vision corporate offices are located) to fully immerse in the business.

Requirements

  • Proactively contact and explore potential partnerships with licensors and vendors, and establish relationships with key accounts including optical chains, mass merchants, buying groups and independent optometrists.
  • Analyze consumer trends and channels to identify and maximize market opportunities.
  • Contribute to the execution of new business initiatives by facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle both internally and externally.
  • Ensure brand pricing and gross profit is aligned to strategy of the business.
  • Prepare and deliver effective professional presentations.
  • Identifies and implements innovative ways to drive sales growth and increase gross margin.
  • Prepares all appropriate input for customer negotiations on product, price, service and terms
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to identify product assortment, supply chain logistics, demand planning, gross margin analysis and flawless execution of new business development.
  • Analyze data reporting weekly to drive sales while managing healthy, profitable partnerships and minimizing chargebacks, returns and MDA
  • Anticipates and addresses customer issues proactively, resolves issues in a timely manner and uses these opportunities to build a stronger relationship.
  • Facilitates customer budgeting annually and forecasting monthly to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Builds business plans and identifies risks and opportunities to drive results.
  • Actively seeks competitive business intelligence through interacting with customers.
  • Executes all aspects of vendor meetings and trade shows to maximize account development and build relationships.
  • Uses various tools and reports to track and manage results with a high level of accuracy.
  • Performs weekly updates with VP to detail the progress and success of agreed to initiatives.
  • Tracks and manages purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and shipping in full.
  • Continuously evaluate Strategy to ensure enhanced partnership opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Optical Industry sales experience preferred.
  • 5+ years key account sales experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new business.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP etc.
  • Relationships with department store and off price preferred.
  • Strong Negotiation and Acquisition skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to interact and present to top management and external agencies.
  • Travel: Up to 25% within the US and Canada

Pay: Base salary plus commission
