is seeking candidates for the following position based in either our Melbourne or Sydney office:

National Valuation Leader Strata & Commercial

Have you got experience in managing high volume projects/clients (i.e. residential mortgage security or rating and taxation instructions) and want a change that leverages your skillset but provides you with diverse experiences?
Exciting opportunity to build and manage a new national team within an established valuation practice
Strong pipeline of work backed by a large multi-national company
Would suit an organised valuer looking to own a national service line and grow a scalable area of business
No reliance on mortgage valuations or bank panels


What can you expect?

Marsh Valuation Services are specialists in valuation of property, infrastructure, plant and equipment assets throughout the Pacific Region. We have a strong focus on financial reporting and insurance valuations with no reliance on bank panels or mortgage valuations.

We have a new and exciting opportunity within our team to focus on high volume valuations across Australia predominately in the Strata and Commercial (<$20m turnover) segments. This will be a unique service offering where the role will be within our broader valuation team, however you will have the opportunity and support to build a practice focused on this specialised service line.

Ideally based in Melbourne or Sydney and supported by the existing valuation practice, you will be responsible for the delivery, growth and management of this exciting area of our business.

The successful applicant will:

Apply your advanced knowledge to undertake valuations of varying types of properties for differing purposes
Work across multiple projects to meet deadlines while managing your time effectively
Have the ability to travel intrastate and nationally for key client commitments
Demonstrate key client relationship management
Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide valuation programs and initiatives
Show excellent time management, logistic and organisational skills
Develop and execute strategies to expand successful business/working relationships with clients to grow the portfolio
Work as part of a team in a fast paced and dynamic environment

What you need to have:

We are seeking an individual that is client focused, motivated and has problem solving skills. You will be committed and thrive whilst working under pressure.
AAPI with CPV qualification.
5 years+ experience in performing valuations
Experience in managing high volume valuations i.e. residential mortgage or rating and taxation
Experience with insurance valuations looked upon favourably
Strong organisational and time management skills
Growth focused
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Direct or indirect experience in managing people
Availability to travel nationally
Drivers license
