Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Los Alamos NM USA - MAX SALARY $150,000- full relocation

Note: Applicant must be resident of the USA or Green Card Holder.

Must-Haves

  • Current appropriate NM licensure
  • Previous experience in their field
  • must have current NRP certification

Job Description

  • Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
  • Documents patient care performed, assessments made, and orders given.
  • Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
  • Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and care.
  • Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptive authority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health and wellness, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Provides care in the context of promoting age- and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision making, and the right to self-determination.

Qualifications - External

  • Minimum education:
  • Graduate of a program in discipline required.

Required skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)

Education and Licensure:

Ability to perform essential job functions. Current RN & NP licensure in New Mexico. Licensure/recognition by the appropriate state agencies. Prescriptive Authority by the appropriate state agency, as may be required for practice. Specialty organization certification preferred (or required, is so specified by state.) Current NRP certifications are required.
