Description: *This position is for weekdays or weekend 3rd shift only Hours: 5x8 - M-F - 11:30pm to 8:00am or 4x10 sat, sun, mon, tues - 11:30pm - 10am. Eastern Time *Overtime is frequently needed so flexibility is a must The Main Responsibilities Technician for customer/company network systems installation and/or maintenance activities. Resolves complex network problems involving power, network hardware and software, lines, modems and terminals. Uses software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose network status and problems; conducts complex network monitoring equipment installation and maintenance activities; resolves complex trouble tickets Monitors network operations and resolves routine network monitoring problems. Monitors network performance; conducts routine monitoring equipment installation and maintenance activities; resolves routine trouble tickets. Knowledge of/Ability to Troubleshoot: IP subnetting, IP routing, IPSEC tunnels, IPVPN, and VRRP/HSRP Basic Qualifications 4+ years' experience in a data/voice network and/or telecom environment (1-2 years MES experience) CCNA or equivalent certification, working towards professional level certification (CCNP) Shows continued training in this platform Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunication, Networking or related field (preferred not required) ITIL certification (preferred not required) Experience in data and/or voice troubleshooting as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) Essential Job Functions / Description Track major service outages and other service affecting activities. Advise inter-department groups of occurrences and ensure progress towards resolution. Understand the triage and service level agreement policies for the tickets and resolve issue within the given time frame. Conducting complex network/voice monitoring, equipment installation and maintenance activities Troubleshooting and repair of complex IP (data/voice) and telecom communications equipment hardware or configuration issues, within defined service level agreement periods Direct customer interface on install and repair requests related to new equipment installs and overall functionality of IP (data/voice) and telecom communications equipment Documentation of all activities per defined procedures Mentoring/Training/Coaching of less experienced employees
