Responsibilities
24/7 Support handling L1 & L2 tickets
Installation and configuration of multi-nodes fully distributed Cassandra cluster.
Participation in Cassandra Cluster environment administration that includes adding and removing cluster nodes, cluster capacity planning, performance tuning, cluster Monitoring, Troubleshooting.
Supporting as an Couchbase/ PostgreSQL Database Administrator for Cloud and AWS servers
Performing DB administration tasks such as Node specic, Couchbase installation and conguration, Backup and Restore, Views query writing in Couchbase
Performing DB administration tasks such as PostgreSQL logical database server administration, Database HBA conguration (User & Schema Maintenance), Replication setup, Backup and restore and L1/L2 administration in PostgreSQL
Monitoring DB Performance and DB tuning
Providing OnCall support on weekends for all the database technologies which is mandatory
Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
Good Knowledge on Backing up and Restoring data (Taking Snapshots, Deleting Snapshots, Enabling Incremental backups, Restoring from Snapshots)
Responsible for managing data coming from different sources.
Involved in Backing up and Restoring data.
Analyse Client Systems and Gather requirements.
Design technical solutions based out of the Client needs and systems architecture
Configured Fair Scheduler to provide service-level agreements for multiple users of a cluster.
Managing nodes on Cassandra cluster connectivity and security.
Involved in writing Java API's for interacting with the Cassandra
Used Cassandra as the data storage
