Job Description

JOB AD: Join our team at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI), where we sell gasoline and convenience products at our retail stations. We are looking for dedicated individuals from all walks of life to join us in our mission. Job Expectations: - Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community. - Present yourself neatly and practice good personal hygiene according to CSI image standards. - Follow safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as CSI's policies and procedures. Report any accidents or incidents to your manager immediately. - Prioritize the safety of yourself, your colleagues, and all individuals in the work location by adhering to the CSI Loss Prevention process. - Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene regulations, including sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures. - Follow federal laws and company standards when checking identification for age-restricted products. - Maintain professional relationships with vendors and contractors. - Regular and punctual attendance is expected. - Adhere to kitchen and sanitation procedures in accordance with city and county regulations during cooking. Essential Functions: - Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and thanking customers while making eye contact. - Conduct accurate and safe point-of-sale activities, following CSI guidelines and procedures. - Manage cash drawer responsibly and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift. - Keep the station clean, both indoors and outdoors, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car washes (if applicable). - Prepare food and beverages, ensuring proper stock management and maximizing sales. - Promote store specials and marketing programs. - Check the accuracy of delivered goods. - Maintain full shelves in both the retail space and cooler locations. - Follow local law requirements when fueling vehicles. - May perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirement/Qualifications: - Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and make sound judgments. - Ability to work independently and in a team. - Possess all required up-to-date food handling certificates (in specific locations only). - Preferred cooking/restaurant experience. Supervisor Responsibilities: - This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Travel: - Rare, limited to required training and coverage for nearby stations. Physical Demands Include but are not limited to: - Ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces. - Ability to lift, push, and move products using proper lifting techniques. Team-lift heavy or awkward objects over 25 pounds. - Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures require constant standing, bending, and reaching. - Work safely with equipment that can generate high temperatures, using appropriate protective gear. - Exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours. - Exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers at 34F or lower. - Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness. Additional Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years old to work in California and Oregon locations. - Must be at least 21 years old to work in Washington locations, and for Graveyard shift (10pm-6am), and management positions. - Visa sponsorship is not available. - Compensation and benefits are subject to U.S. payroll offers.
