In January 2014, North Hawaii Community Hospital became part of The Queen's Health Systems, a not-for-profit corporation established in 1985 to bring expanded healthcare capabilities to the people of Hawaii and the Pacific Basin. The Queen's Health Systems mission is to fulfill the intent of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV to provide in perpetuity quality healthcare services to improve the wellbeing of Native Hawaiians and all of the people of Hawaii.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • Current Hawaii license as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
  • Current BLS/HCP level certification.

B. EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) year experience in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Experience to demonstrate the following:
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine physics and computerized nuclear medicine systems so as to safely inject radiopharmaceuticals, isotopes and scan all human anatomic systems.
  • Knowledge of nuclear medicine safety as it applies to self, patients, visitors and co-workers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with Radiologists and Physicians.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
Effective 11/6: Queen's 14 day quarantine requirement for incoming travelers is being replaced by a COVID test requirement, conducted 72 hours prior to travel, aligning with the state's new quarantine exemption option. Tests must be completed through a trusted partner, but CANNOT be a saliva-based test. The traveler will also need to register with the state and apply for the state exemption.
