Job Description: Position: Nurse Manager Department: Endoscopy Schedule: 40 Hours, Days Position Summary: As a Nurse Manager in the Endoscopy department, you will be responsible for planning and implementing clinically based activities. This role involves identifying opportunities for improvement, setting expectations, seeking solutions, and implementing monitoring and evaluation strategies. The position includes performing quality reviews in compliance with performance improvement plans, regulations, and standards. Education: - BSN required; Masters Degree in a relevant field preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required: - Licensed to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
Knowledge and Skills: - Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in the assigned specialty.
- Broad-based healthcare operational experience, demonstrating knowledge of various health systems and cost reduction strategies.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills suitable for the patient populations served.
- Self-directed, self-starter, and able to implement new programs.
- Demonstrated ability as an effective leader.
- Ability to apply principles of adult learning for staff, physicians, and auxiliary staff education.
- Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement and research projects.
- Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned workload.
- Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities as per the demands of the practice setting and patient populations.
- Ability to manage stress related to critical patient care issues, changing organizational climate, and personnel matters.
- Multi-lingual skills (beyond English) in languages appropriate to patient populations served by the Medical Center are highly desirable.
