Nurse Practitioner ARNP Location: US-FL-Clearwater Email this job to a friend

The focus of this practice is on non-surgical pain relief in adult and elder patients.The duties of the NP include but are not limited to the diagnosing and treatment of actual or potential patient health problems, related primarily to pain complaints, through such services as evaluation, physical examination, health counseling, health teaching, provision of care and treatment supportive to or restorative of health and well-being. Detailed Responsibilities Evaluate patients, determine a plan of care, and deliver treatment which may include any combination of the following: - Trigger point injections
- Joint aspiration and/or injections, including Hyaluronic Acid, Platelet Rich Plasma and Ortho-Biologic Therapies (as allowed by FDA). (training available)
- Electroanalgesia (Nerve Root Sedation without injection) application and treatment (training provided)
- Deep Tissue Laser Therapy (training provided)
- Carrying out Fluoroscopy and Arthrograms as needed for procedures, plus performing, diagnosing, and interpreting x-rays
- Venipuncture including IV starts
- IV Functional Medicine
- Incision and drainage of abscesses, some wound care
- Prescribing medications as needed
- New therapies as agreed to and as covered under scope of practice
Requirements - Must hold valid Medical License in the state of Florida.
- Must have liability insurance coverage as required in Florida.
- Must acquire a Business Tax License to practice in the City of Clearwater.
- Two Three years of experience as a NP.
- Well organized in prepping for patients and notating procedures etc.
- Making diagnosis from imaging and physical exam.
- Autonomy regarding patient management.
Preferences - Although a NP that has Autonomous status in Florida is preferred, it is not an absolute requirement.
- Alternative Medical and ER experience a plus.
- Experience injecting bursa using fluoroscopic guidance a plus.
- Part-time (2-3 days per week) or full-time, both considered.
- In-network with a variety of insurers, desired but not required.
- Positive disposition and love of learning new things.
Benefits This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced NP who is seeking increased independence in procedures as allowed under the NP scope of practice. This is a contract position. Compensation is competitive (within the top 75 percentile based on Florida salary data) and will be negotiated based on experience.
