Job Description:

Nurse Practitioners provide advanced primary and specialty nursing services.

You get the opportunity to meet their caregivers, families, and learn their personal story, and ultimately you can provide interventions to those in need of your services & expertise and have the ability to change their quality of life for the better!

Job Responsibilities:

-Provide palliative and primary care to patients

-Perform physical & cognitive exams

-Complete MMSE/MOCA testing

-Assist clients and families with advanced directive document completion, discuss MDPOA in Michigan

-Record patient medical histories and symptoms

-Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans

-Diagnose dementia, symptoms related, and offer treatment options

-Detect changes in patients cognition and change treatment plan as necessary

-Administer medicines and treatments

-Evaluate response to treatments and medications

-Consult with healthcare professionals

-Training patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention

-Assess and identify new opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets

-Assist in the establishment of company goals and objectives

-Design business strategies and plans to meet company goals

-Ensure that the company has sufficient resources, such as personnel, material, and equipment

-Work with managers to create long-term company strategy

-Work with a variety of patients varying in age and health status

-Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients and families

-Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment per OSHA standards

-Follow all state, federal and/or local health and safety rules, laws and regulations

-Completes all mandatory training

-Maintains all necessary licensing/certification

-Provides excellent customer service, including handling custom calls/concerns in a professional manner
