Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their healthcare team, providing comprehensive care to active duty military personnel and their families. As an FNP in our military healthcare facility, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of service members and their dependents.
Responsibilities:
Provide primary healthcare services to active duty military personnel and their families, including routine check-ups, acute care, and management of chronic conditions.
Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as needed.
Offer health education and counseling to patients and their families on preventive measures, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of medical conditions.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients.
Conduct pre-deployment screenings, administer immunizations, and provide guidance on maintaining health and wellness during deployments.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize patients before transfer to higher levels of care if necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documentation, and reports in accordance with military healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC).
Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any state
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an FNP, preferably in a primary care or military healthcare setting.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills, with proficiency in managing a diverse range of acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
Knowledge of military healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations is preferred but not required (training will be provided).
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
