Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Locum Opportunity On-Site, Nashville, TN

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm

Setting: Clinic - appointments and walk-in's (occupational health / urgent care)

Assignment Duration: begins 2/1/24 and contract goes through end of May 2024

Qualifications:

  • State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program OR Graduate of an accredited PA program or an accredited university
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a related specialty
  • DOT Medical Examiner Certification is a plus (if not obtained already, we will provide reimbursement and $1,000 bonus in order to obtain this certification).

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat work-related injuries
  • Perform pre-placement, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations for varied private companies and governmental agencies
  • Evaluate and treat urgent care patients on a walk-in basis
  • Perform in-office procedures, communicate with employers and provide medical guidance
  • Exhibit Orange Book characteristics including welcoming, skillful and respectful behaviors at all times
  • Completes all documentation in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies
  • Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to ensure adherence to medical and professional standards
  • Participate in quality management processes and encourage proficiency in clinical support activities
  • Communicate with client representatives and patients following treatment or changes in status
