Nurse Practitioner - The Recovery Center

Our Recovery Center is a residential alternative to and diversion from inpatient hospitalization, offering psychiatric stabilization and detoxification services. The program provides medically monitored residential services for the purpose of providing psychiatric stabilization and substance detoxification services on a short-term basis.

We are in search of a full-time psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical services in our Child and Adolescent Unit, ages 5 & up, and may assist with the Adult Unit, if needed.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be willing to see children/adolescents ages 5 & up, and if needed, some adults.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, and laboratory tests.
  • Instructs and counsels clients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
  • Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
  • Makes tentative diagnoses and decisions about the management and treatment of clients.
  • Obtains compiles and records client medical data, including health history, progress notes, and results of examination.
  • Prescribes therapy or medication with physician approval.
  • Develops comprehensive plans of care.
  • Examines clients to obtain information about medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests, and laboratory tests.
  • Visits and observes clients on rounds, updating charts, ordering therapy, and reporting back to physician.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Fully COVID Vaccinated.
  • Must have a valid Georgia license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse OR
  • PMHNP Certified or Physician's Assistant with at least one year of experience in behavioral health service delivery.
