Job Summary:

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioners who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals seeking recovery. The ideal candidates will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing holistic care that addresses both physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough health assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations, to formulate accurate diagnoses.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments, monitoring their effectiveness and adjusting as needed.
Provide education and counseling to clients and their families on recovery, wellness, and health management.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, offering support and insight to individuals in a safe and therapeutic setting.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all interactions, assessments, and interventions.
Foster a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment that promotes trust and open communication.

Qualifications:

Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in Manitoba.
Experience in addiction medicine, mental health, or related field is preferred.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients and collaborate with colleagues.
Empathetic approach and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and basic computer skills.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
