What Does a Nursery/Customer Service Team Member Do?

• Provides friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, addressing their plant-related inquiries and helping them select suitable plants
• Greets and thanks each guest with a friendly and helpful attitude
• Answers phones and assists customers in a polite and timely manner
• Locates products for customers and offers recommendations and guidance as needed
• Performs tasks related to the overall maintenance of plants, including watering, fertilizing, and pruning to ensure their health and vitality
• Assists with plant inventory management, including receiving, organizing, and stocking plants
• Offers guidance on plant care, including watering schedules, light requirements, and potential issues
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in the nursery
• Assists management in ensuring company standards and procedures are effectively met
• Proactively seeks product/project knowledge to provide personalized information to customers
• Identifies unique selling opportunities
• Resolves customer issues with assistance from management
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Requirements

What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Nursery/Customer Service Team Member?

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Computer proficiency
• Experience with selling and maintaining live nursery goods
• Strong working knowledge of plants, soils, and fertilizers
• Basic understanding of the local environment and its impact on plant growth (preferred)
• Results-oriented with the ability to uphold company values
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and remain adaptable
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to providing superior customer service
• Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs consistently and perform physical tasks
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends (typically between 7 am and 6 pm)

Competitive pay based on experience!

• Position starts at $15.50/hour plus health benefits after 90 days of employment
