Job Title: CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant
Pay rate: $30.00/hour on 1099 Mon - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM 3:00 PM - 11 PM

Job Description:
Overview: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Genesis - Mid-America & SE Region, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to our residents. Working under the supervision of licensed nurses, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, and ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide direct care to residents, including assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding as needed.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs accurately, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
Mobility Assistance: Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to ensure safety and prevent injury.
Medication Assistance: Assist licensed nurses with medication administration as permitted by state regulations, following established protocols and ensuring accurate documentation.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care activities, including vital signs, intake and output, and changes in condition, in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Safety and Comfort: Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents at all times, responding promptly to their needs and addressing any concerns or issues with empathy and professionalism.
Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members, providing updates on resident status, changes in condition, and care plans as appropriate.
Patient Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing environment that promotes dignity, autonomy, and quality of life.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing. CPR certification preferred. Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to resident care. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining resident confidentiality.
