Under the close supervision of the Accounting Services Branch (ASB) Assistant Branch Chief (an Accounting Administrator II), the incumbent, in a learning capacity exercises a high level of confidentiality, discretion, initiative, independence, and accountability in performing assigned tasks. Handles sensitive master and seasonal payroll, salary advance and overtime checks in a professional manner while consistently in performing assigned tasks to fulfill daily operational needs. Assist with a variety of administrative, technical and functions, and provide backup support and assistance to special projects in accounting on an as needed basis.

Responsible for providing consistent, timely, and good customer services when providing verbal and/or written correspondence to internal and external customers. Process, update, and track ASB Requests for Personnel Actions (RPA). Perform ASB onboarding and exit clearance related tasks. Update ASB intranet page and organizational chart. Update and track training. Personnel Liaison for ASB. Point of contact for ASB telecom, building contacts, other assignments, or special projects.

This position is a 12 month Limited Term (LT) and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.


If you currently have permanent status in your position and have passed probation, you have mandatory reinstatement rights into your former position at the end of this LT appointment. If you have not had prior permanent or probationary civil service status, you will be separated from state service.

During this 12-month Limited Term assignment, you will receive full health, dental, and vision benefits! You will also earn State Service and accrue monthly leave credits.

Working Conditions

Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings and hearings; work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Position is located in a high-rise building. Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods. Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone. Standard office environment.

Time off may not be granted during the year-end Financial Statement and Federal grants closing periods.

Hybrid telework option.


This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness Accrual Credit.
