Remote (quarterly travel to Raleigh, NC) 4 openings (OIPA Developer) 1 year + contract Fidelity OIPA Configuration Engineer Overview: Adding a new product for OIPA based record keeping--will manage building an insurance policy, payments, annuity, etc. A lot of configuration and customization work needs to be done in changing the policies. Have some already underway, but huge backlog. Roles Notes: - Using OIPA 11.3
- Need folks heavy on configuration, all else is a nice to have.
- Working with Delivery Leads/BAs who gather the requirements from the business and configuration engineers will implement. Examples--defining parameters, calculations, rates, accessibility. Not building new features or extensions, just altering the out-of-the-box product to handle their volume and specific business needs.
- Using OIPA's own XML syntax, all proprietary. Will need to alter that for configs. No need for Java for this role. If they have it or come from a heavier background in development, that's more of a nice to have and they may have additional roles on more of the development side, but this is pure configuration.
- No integrations--standalone system. Indirectly connected to other applications and data stores by way of API
- Presentation layer needs--more testing out something, not getting into JSPs or JSTL at all. More manual, to change something, I click here, run through these screens, etc. And then acceptance testing of the functionality.
- Basic testing of configurations, will eventually aim to automate (QA team responsible), but need to run basic testing on their changes to make sure they function before handing over to QA team. Will collaborate with QA and need to answer questions.
