Job Responsibilities:




  • Address aspects of performance to promote interaction with occupations that positively influence fitness, well-being, health, and overall quality of life for each individual you work with.

  • Select and modify relevant occupational therapy treatment principles, methods, and strategies to regulate the intervention process.

  • Apply modifications to maximize protection, performance, and safety in instrumental and vital daily living activities.

  • Educate clients on new ways of approaching tasks and train them on how to break activities down into attainable components.

  • Access the homes and work environments of patients to offer guidance on alterations that are consistent with their requirements and capabilities.

  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train clients on how to correctly and safely utilize those devices.

  • Guide and instruct family members and caregivers on modifications to accommodate the needs of the client.

  • Observe, note, and report on the progress of short- and long-term treatment goals, including collecting data and reporting on progress goals.



Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required




  • Bachelor's degree

  • Occupational therapy certification and licensure

  • Excellent working knowledge of the practices and principles of occupational therapy

  • Outstanding interpersonal verbal and written communication skills



Preferred




  • Ability to handle clients with various personality types

  • Hands-on experience with creative media and computer programs

  • Ability to deliver in person Occupational Therapy at least twice a week in the home
