Job Overview

OW is seeking a Staffing and Talent Manager interested in joining an expanding talent management function and fast-growing region. Our Talent Management function is at the heart of the business, we work with our project teams and consultants to make sure that the right people are in the right place at the right time.

This role will work closely with the Lead Talent Manager for South East Asia to manage all aspects of the talent life cycle from consultant onboarding to exit management. You will be focused in the Malaysia, Indonesia and Thai markets. One of your main responsibilities will be to manage the staffing project life cycle including understanding the needs and wants of the consultants under your charge and matching these to the correct project so that we can best serve our clients.

In addition, you will also support in understanding supply and demand gaps across the market at any time. You will help to remove any blockers and identify trends with the aim of designing and implement processes to better facilitate smoother/ more efficient deployment of our people.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the project staffing (resource allocation) process for consulting staff, in conjunction with leadership, communicating decisions to the consultant population.
Manage the weekly allocation of business development for consulting staff, communicating decisions to the consultant population.
Work with the regional Talent Coordinator to ensure the staffing system is updated in a timely manner in-line with the weekly staffing process.
Act as an advisor on staffing challenges to ensure decisions on teams optimally balance the needs of the client, firm and individual.
Prepare and manage staffing reporting for the market such as.
Weekly staffing pipeline, utilization, project reviews, time variance reporting and follow-up etc.


Experience Required

3+ years experience in human resources, ideally with background in a consulting/professional services firm.
Background in resource allocation is advantageous.
Excellent communicator with strong relationship building, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Ability to achieve consensus in the face of numerous, and sometimes diverse, opinion.
Creative, strategic thinker, who continually seeks ways to improve the way things are done, whilst keeping in mind the details.
Solutions oriented with the ability to think clearly and logically within an ever-changing and fast paced environment.
Proactive multi-tasker who is credible and highly professional.
High intrinsic motivation and desire to succeed with ability to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done.
A high-performing team player able to function independently, but collaboratively.
Genuine interest in the development and career success of consulting staff.
Support the performance management, career review, career planning, promotions, and compensation processes for consultants.
Manage and advise on talent programs, e.g. flexible working arrangement, work-life sustainability, mentorship, business school sponsorship etc.
Keep finger on the pulse on consultant satisfaction and morale. Surface issues and concerns appropriately and diplomatically to relevant parties.
Contribute to the continual improvement of HC initiatives both regional and globally, often via working group representation on various HC and talent management initiatives.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Resourcing/Staffing Systems (i.e Certinia) or HRMIS (i.e. Workday, Tableau) would be an added advantage
