Position: Financial AnalystLocation: Woodcliff Lake, NJ Job Description:The Financial Analyst is responsible for determining the business financial viability. You will be looking at various pieces of documentation in order to assess the company s profitability and whether or not the business is on track to remain operational. Throughout your daily schedule, you may be analyzing information that includes data about the organization s previous dealings, their present transactions as well as things affecting future outcomes. You may work with team managers in order to make recommendations regarding purchases, investments, operations, financing or working capital. Roles & Responsibilities: Examine the financial operations of the company and recommend actions to increase profit margins. Analyze economic cost data, identifying wasteful processes, and making recommendations to improve efficiency. Track the financial situation of the company and economic conditions in general. Predict the impact of events and policy changes, reporting their findings to the management. Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs and collecting operational data. Also, analyze past and current financial performance data and prepares reports and projections based on analyses. Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures. Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management. Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data and maintain databases by entering, verifying, and backing up data. Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements. Also, protect operations by keeping financial information confidential. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing results as needed. Skills required: Strong understanding of business finance and analytics. Great interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Expert in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Education and requirements: Bachelor s degree in finance business analytics or related business field is required.
