ABOUT US: Pineapple Contracts opened their doors for the first time in 1975. A family run company, started by William Hathorn, Pineapple began making pine furniture for the retail market and traded as, Pine Productions. In 1987, Pine Productions moved their focus to the healthcare furniture market, having identified a demand for strong, safe, and durable healthcare furniture which avoided the institutional appearance, common at that time. With a new direction, a new name was required and, we became simply Pineapple. Pineapple, now a global company with headquarters in Kent (UK), have offices in France, Germany and the USA, still runs by its original ethos, and employs over 140 people worldwide. JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS SUPPORT REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER LOCATION: 7105 19 MILE ROAD, STERLING HEIGHTS, MI 48314 HOURS: 7:30AM 4:30PM (1 HOUR FOR LUNCH) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Handling incoming inquiries (phone calls/emails) regarding order status, container routing, delivery information, or customer complaints.
- Handle quotes for install with third party installers and send to sales in a timely manner.
- Manage sample requests and both sample/stock inventory with ERP system to ensure requests are fulfilled accurately and stock is used accordingly.
- Support with labor work in warehouse, including palletizing, lifting, packaging, and general warehouse organization.
- Scheduling shipments and getting freight quotes for LTL (Less-Than-Truckload), FTL (Full Truckload), and Expedite shipments.
- Assist with customer service inquiries and work to handle shipping or product issues with guidance of line manager and after sales teams.
- Arrange for samples for customer presentations and exhibitions as required.
- Carry out other ad hoc tasks and happy to be the go-to person in the operations team.
Requirements - A strong background in administration and experience in U.S logistics (LTL and FTL).
- People focused, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and team lift up to 350 lbs.
- Must be passionate about the brand, be flexible and have a can-do attitude.
- Proactive not just reactive
- Confident, approachable and happy to turn your hand to anything required.
- Hardworking, conscientious with good attention to details and take pride in your work.
- Happy to work to tight deadlines.
