At Mod Op, the Operations & HR Associateis an entry level position that offers experience in office and HR support. This role is tasked with problem solving, coordinating details, organizing materials, anticipating requests, supporting both local and company-wide efforts, linking teams, planning, and mastering tools to provide logistical and operational information across offices and departments. This position is all about learning new skills, supporting our staff, and growth opportunities!

  • Essential Functions

    Operations Support

  • Special 2023 project: coordinate office relocation, including interfacing with contractors, furniture companies and other utilities, with guidance from management.
  • Office operations: ensure that day-to-day office operations run smoothly and efficiently for staff, clients, guests, and vendors
  • Building interface: point-person for building needs and Fire Marshall duties
  • IT vendor interface: manage IT vendor for office technology, including scheduling, inventory, and shipping
  • Brand collateral coordinator: order, maintain, and distribute company branded materials, including business cards, client gifts, employee swag, etc.

  • HR Administrative Support

  • Provide payroll, 401k, benefits assistance for management and team
  • Liaise with benefits and 401k brokers
  • Research and present new HR initiatives and best practices
  • Assist with current HR programs, including internal learning sessions, LinkedIn Learning coordination, local office events, and others
  • Update employee information across platforms
  • Respond to employee queries about HR platforms, policies, performance and benefits
  • Assist with onboarding meetings for all local new hires
  • Assist with off-boarding employees
  • Research and monitor compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employee training requirements
  • Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • Interest in HR and Operations management
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Interest in learning new software independently and in group settings
  • Basic working knowledge of office equipment, including laptops, printers, and fax machines; ability to troubleshoot office equipment issues
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment with all levels of management
