Major and established global company has an opportunity at a high volume manufacturing plant in a good location in eastern GA for an Operations Manager(link removed) The selected candidate in this role will manage a section of the plant providing leadership in production, quality, safety, OSHA compliance, financial controls, facilities, plant security and manufacturing. Many functional areas across the company will be worked with to ensure consistency in operations and strategies that are related. Large scale projects will be ensured to be completed on time, meet specified quality standards, be on budget, production requirements and preset goals. Will be over a 24x7 operation. Lean principles will be applied. There is automation with robots and it is a high pressure aluminum die cast environment.

• Bachelor degree preferred in engineering field, but strong experience could substitute for the degree


• At least 7 years of management experience needed with a preference for it being over an automated high pressure aluminum die cast operation


• Must be strong with applying lean principles


• Strong financial knowledge with budgeting experience is needed


• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are needed


• Leadership needs to be strong as well as very good motivational skills and the ability to develop leadership quality in others


• Need to be an excellent team player


• Must have success at implementing large-scale improvements and changes in a diverse and complex environment


• Successful at driving cost reduction concepts and projects to reach annual goals


• Skill is needed to coordinate and organize multiple projects at the same time


• Need to be familiar with industrial engineering as well as plant layout efficiencies


• Familiarity with purchasing


• SAP experience is a plus


• SMED experience is a plus
