POSITION SUMMARY: The basic function of the Operations Manager is to provide the necessary leadership, planning, organization, direction, coordination and control to meet the growth, pre-planned profit and other goals of the Company.  The Operations Manager must provide expertise by assisting in the formulation, development and implementation of sales and operating strategies and policies.  This positions works toward the guarantee of the continued growth and success of the Company by ensuring that all employees meet or exceed established company guidelines.  The Operations Manager must also provide ongoing support and expertise to all subordinates, assisting and supporting them in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures for all revenue dependent systems in the Company. 



 



 



DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 




  • Plan & review project data and coordinate with staff services to develop detailed plans and schedule for field personnel

  • Review and approve cost and progress reports

  • Advise field personnel of impending schedule overruns and initiate corrective action

  • Coordinate with client on project progress, cost and quality

  • Enforce safety policies and quality control programs

  • Conduct employee evaluations

  • Interpret terms of client contracts and abide by client guidelines

  • Conduct weekly staff meetings to coordinate work of all trade disciplines and ensure open communication

  • Responsible for ordering appropriate staffing needs

  • Review and approve payments for all subcontracts and all field purchase orders



 



EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 




  • 5+ years of experience in management with budget responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience in the crane industry

  • Strong financial/P&L skills

  • Project management experience preferred

  • Requires knowledge of and experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • FCC, TMW, TMT experience preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent; BS preferred
