While organized as a for-profit company, Tagoras is mission-driven. Lifelong learning, continuing education (CE), and professional development (PD) play a vital role in society, and we believe deeply in the power of learning to transform individuals, organizations, and communities.

We offer consulting, publishing, and events to serve the global market for adult lifelong learning, CE, and PD. Our target audiences include learning businesses (trade and professional associations, academic continuing education units, commercial training firms), expertise-based businesses (consultants, coaches, authors, speakers, trainers), and adult lifelong learners.

Having grown to 7-figures in annual revenue, Tagoras is in the process of bringing more structure and consistency to its operations and planning for significant growth. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to play an integral role in creating that structure and growth. This person will report to the two company founders and oversee day-to-day operations to ensure that we stay on track to achieve stated goals.

This is a full-time remote position.

Requirements

We are looking for an Operations Manager specifically with these requirements:


  • 3+ years experience in operations executive/ leadership positions
  • Significant experience leading and managing teams and coordinating complex projects and workflows
  • 2+ years of experience in a related industry, such as business consulting or digital content products (preferred)
  • Past responsibility managing operations for businesses growing from seven to eight figures
  • Ability to develop and enhance effective agency operational systems, metrics, and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with finding, hiring, and onboarding employees and contractors capable of achieving company goals (and, when necessary, firing employees and contractors)



Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):


  • Participating in the development and implementation of the next-stage business plan for the company
  • Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of processes and procedures necessary for growth and hiring/contracting for any necessary resources
  • Coordinating and directing activities of business unit leaders for achieving agreed-on commitments
  • Integrating all major operating functions of the business and ensuring everyone is pursuing the right activities in the right way to achieve the outcomes we seek as a company
  • Resolving issues effectively, identifying and naming problems rapidly, managing conflict effectively, and solving problems in a practical and healthy manner
  • Ensuring that everyone follows and adheres to the companys core processes and operating system with consistency
  • Modeling clear commitment and adherence to the companys values and guiding principles(link removed)>
  • Effectively collaborating with the companys founders and maintaining a high level of mutual respect
  • Appreciating the unique contributions and ideas that the founders have and possessing an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company
  • Confirming that all key messages are properly and consistently communicated across the organization
  • In short, translating the companys vision into operational success
