As our Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing and guiding field staff towards the overall success and profit of the company. You will maintain a strong customer focus, drive employee engagement, and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service. In this role, you will implement company policies and procedures, ensure safe and efficient delivery of services, and drive continued improvement through training. Requirements Key responsibilities of the role include: - Focusing on continuous improvement and process enhancement to achieve budgeted gross margins through the development and implementation of best operational practices.
- Overseeing expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and fleet.
- Ensuring facilities are well maintained and repaired to protect company assets.
- Overseeing safety compliance to OSHA standards, including employee training and compliance.
- Managing and developing service staff, including recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, discipline, and termination.
- Providing feedback, coaching, and ongoing technical and communication training to increase performance.
- Conducting weekly meetings, directing work assignments to maximize production, and reviewing service tickets to ensure adherence to procedural standards.
- Conducting work evaluations, job site surveys, and ride-alongs with technicians.
- Overseeing all safety reporting and minimizing legal liability for the company.
- Reviewing customer satisfaction/issues daily and resolving any issues same-day.
- Oversee and Manage office staff to ensure call booking rates are at the proper KPI
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the plumbing, HVAC, and water treatment industry. You should also have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of financial management, project management, and technical knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and water treatment systems.
